11th Annual Coat Drive to Support Infant Welfare Society
CD ONE PRICE CLEANERS LAUNCHES 11TH ANNUAL COAT DRIVE TO COLLECT COATS FOR INFANT WELFARE SOCIETY WITH WEIGEL BROADCASTING CO.’S METV FM AND CW26
Donate Coats Nov. 2 through Nov. 30
Now in its eleventh year, 36 CD One locations in Chicago, the suburbs and Indiana are accepting gently used children, teen, and adult winter coats for donation, through Nov. 30. Coats can be donated 24/7 via CD One’s express drop-off windows and CD One will clean all coats and deliver to the Center for distribution by The Auxiliary of the Infant Welfare Society in time for winter. Partnering with Weigel Broadcasting Co.’s MeTV FM and CW26 for the first time, we are aiming to collect 6,000 coats.
“Our customers and the communities in which we do business have embraced our mission to help Infant Welfare Society keep Chicagoans warm,” said Rafiq Karimi, Jr,. CEO of CD One Price Cleaners. “Winters are never easy in the Chicagoland area, and we intend to help some of the many children who would otherwise struggle through the harsh winter without coats. We urge all businesses, schools, and families to bring in unused items so that we may clean them and send them along to those in need.”
“The Auxiliary is very appreciative of our partnership with CD One Price Cleaners that is now in its 10th year,” said Sharon Smith, Auxiliary president. “Patients of the Angel Harvey Family Health Center of The Infant Welfare Society of Chicago often do not have the resources to provide warm coats for their families. The Center’s patients will benefit greatly from the donations.”
