We Have Again Partnered with Cara in Collecting Interview Attire!
When was the last time you cleaned out your closet? It’s been a while, hasn’t it? Well what if we told you that all interview attire that you donate could go to a great cause and you can clear some room in your closet at the same time?
We have again partnered with Cara, which prepares and inspires motivated individuals to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty, transform their lives, strengthen our communities, and forge paths to real and lasting success. We at CD One Price Cleaners have been blown away by some of the great ways in which Cara is helping individuals get on their feet, by helping them to sustain their independence and develop life skill training. Cara is doing this by helping people unlock their true power and purpose within themselves to overcome employment and life barriers they have previously faced. They also are teaching specific skills such as computer classes and how to interview, all in the pursuit of helping individuals find full time jobs.
#TenaciousTari is one individual that took advantage of everything Cara had to offer. Her story is truly inspiring. She was in the midst of changing careers, did not have an updated resume, knew very little to nothing about how to work a computer and simply just didn’t know where to begin, but she knew she wanted a career change. That is when she found Cara. Through Cara, Tari was able to take classes that taught her how to type, how to work a computer and use programs such as Excel and PowerPoint, how to apply customer service skills and even good interview skills.
Tari had been suffering from depression “I was depressed, with next to no skills. I have a learning disability and, because of that, I didn’t know how to apply for a job in this day and age”. Tari wanted a change. “I was tired of living the way I was and desperately wanted to change my life around. I knew I deserved better. I was determined to turn my life around.”
Through Cara, Tari was challenged to think outside the box, she learned that she had to do things she normally wouldn’t do, like asking questions. She learned to stay focused, determined and to never give up.
“I feel like I am a rising star. I can now see where I am going. I’ve been more focused than ever in my life. I’ve made a lot of accomplishment and it’s made me want more. I feel like it’s my time. This is my second chance to start my life over and I’m very excited about it.”
Cara is helping so many like Tari every day and we want to continue helping in their great cause. So, this is where you come in! We need our customers to donate their gently used mens and womens clothing like: suits, skirts, blouses and dress pants. You can donate it at any one of our 36 locations at no cost to you.
